Joseph Anthony McGowan was born on December 1, 1998 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was raised in Greensboro, NC, and attended high school at Southern Guilford High School, where he met his future wife, Sister Alexa. They were married in 2021 after dating for six years. They were blessed with a son named Isaac, who was born in 2023.
Brother McGowan was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus in July of 2021, under the pastorship of Bishop Lane. He received the gift of the Holy Ghost in August of 2021 and has not looked back since. Him and his wife, Sister Alexa, took up food ministry, and volunteer regularly at Greater Things Outreach pantry in Lexington, and Genesis House in Lexington. He is also a guitar player on the Praise Team. In October 2022, he began his ministry after the Holy Ghost revealed a call in his life to preach the Gospel.
In September of 2023, he was appointed and ordained into the AWCF as a minister of Gospel of Jesus Christ. Brother McGowan believes that he is a servant of the Lord above all else, and as of today, is continuing to follow his man of God (Bishop Lane) as he follows Christ. Isaiah 61:1-3 is his mission statement, and is burdened to be a soul-winner.
